Not a Golfer? Here Is How to Enjoy a Golf Trip in Italy Anyway

Not everyone in a group plays golf. And that is perfectly fine.

One of the most common things we hear from our guests is that they want to travel with friends or family who love golf, but they are not sure if they will enjoy the trip themselves. What they often discover is that a golf holiday in Italy can be just as enjoyable for non-golfers as it is for players, sometimes even more so.

Here is how we make that work, and why non-golfers often tell us they loved every part of the journey.

1. You Do Not Need to Play to Feel Involved

Our trips are designed so that every person feels part of the experience, whether they are on the course or not. While one part of the group is playing eighteen holes in the morning, the rest might be enjoying a guided walk through a hill town, taking a cooking class, visiting a vineyard, or relaxing at a thermal spa.

The day is not split between players and bystanders. It is just made of different rhythms that come together again in the evenings. Everyone has a story to share over dinner.

2. The Regions Are Built for More Than Golf

We select regions that are naturally rich in culture, scenery, and experiences. In Tuscany, a non-golfer can explore medieval towns, take a pasta-making class, or join a wine tasting at a family-owned estate. In Umbria, they might visit historic monasteries, walk through olive groves, or enjoy a spa treatment while others are on the course.

In Veneto, we often include visits to wineries in the Valpolicella or Soave regions. And in Lombardy, the Lake Garda area is full of small towns, gardens, lakeside walks, and beautiful spots to sit with a good book and a better view.

Our itineraries are always flexible. Some people want to explore every corner of the region. Others prefer a few gentle activities and plenty of time to rest. We make space for both.

3. Golf Courses Are Often Close to Everything

One of the nice surprises for many guests is that Italian golf courses are not isolated. In most cases, they are within easy reach of towns, wineries, historic landmarks, or scenic drives.

That means while golfers are finishing their round, the rest of the group can be doing something else nearby. There is no need to wait at the clubhouse or be stuck on your own. We organise all transport and coordinate timing so the day stays relaxed and connected.

4. We Handle All the Details

You do not need to plan your own outings or figure out what to do while others are golfing. We take care of it for you. That includes:

  • Local experiences tailored to your interests

  • Transport and timing that matches the group’s pace

  • Booking of non-golf activities like cooking classes, spa appointments, or tastings

  • Flexible itineraries that allow for rest, exploration, or both

We believe a golf holiday should be enjoyable for everyone, not just those who play. Our job is to make sure non-golfers feel included, relaxed, and inspired by everything Italy has to offer.

5. A Trip That Moves at Your Speed

Some guests want full days with lots to see. Others just want to enjoy a good meal and an afternoon stroll. We work with both. Your experience is shaped around what makes you feel comfortable and excited to be there, not what fits into someone else’s plan.

And when you all come back together in the evening, you get to share stories from different sides of the same beautiful day.

If you would like help building a trip that includes golf, food, wine, culture, and plenty of space for both golfers and non-golfers to enjoy themselves, we would be glad to help.
